Cass County is a large county in northern Minnesota. It is named for the Lewis Cass, an American politician.
The seat is Walker while the largest city is Lake Shore. This county is a part of the Minnesota "Lakes Country", which is considered to be a tourist destination.
It Borders Itasca, Aitkin, Crow Wing, Todd, Wadena, Hubbard, Beltrami and Morrison Counties
Main roads through the county include US-2, MN-6, MN-34, MN-64, MN-84, MN-100, MN-210 and MN-371.
